Here Comes The Sun.....

City dogs take to the beach...

Pebble beach dress - vintage (no label)
The warm weather has finally arrived here on the East coast - prompting me to sort through my vintage summer dresses.  The Pebble Beach Dress is very pretty, nicely made and in good condition.  I found this delicate piece in LA at a street fair many moons ago, yet I am sad to say I have not worn this dress out in public.  Maybe I just haven't found the appropriate occasion....  I was very inspired while walking on a completely deserted beach with my dogs - by the muted colors and tones of the area.  I will be shopping for new eco-friendly fabrics soon, until then I will continue to day dream in colors of pale pink,     cornflower blue, creme and sunny yellow.

Rolling Hills, Miniature Log Cabins and Vintage Buttons....

This past Saturday I jumped in my car and took a drive out into the beautiful countryside of Pennsylvania.  I came across a lovely field, surrounded by mountains and the most charming miniature log cabin.  I want to move into the little house on the hill and live with the fairies! After a series of gorgeous views and winding roadways I found myself at the Kimberton Antique Show.  Nothing could have made my sunny afternoon more glorious than the basket loads of vintage buttons I found at Linda Sarubin's booth.  Linda runs an antique store called The Gatchellville Store, (my next country adventure) which houses an assortment of items from the mid 1800's and beyond!  I was very tempted to spend every dollar to my name.  However, I did leave with a good deal of hand carved buttons, made from steel, brass, metal and abalone, some dating back to the 1880's.  I also picked up a lovely all silver chain purse (pic above), which came with the photograph of that sassy woman blowing a kiss - I love her!   I am thrilled to adorn my new dresses and blouses with these delicate artisan made buttons.  Please check back soon, as I have been photographing my vintage inventory, as well as the new summer time dresses I am making.  Etsy will be up and running very soon.

For a Sunday Picnic...

Black to Lace Dress
Gingham Picnic dress
Day Dress

Pack a bag, grab a friend - maybe a dog and go for a walk through the woods. Happen upon a picnic by a real life doll house while wearing one of these adorable day dresses from my newly launched line SiSi Shadow by Colleen Mastro. This past fall I took a walk into the woods with the wildly talented photographer Kimberly Mufferi to shoot my new collection (alas I would love to find some lovely ladies to play dress up for my next shoot? Email me:) More pieces to come as I hope to launch an etsy shop very soon - full of SiSi Shadow dresses, as well vintage dresses, handbags and shoes...
